19th October 2008 Windsurfing: Camber - Little Maui Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: 18knots + Surf / Sea State: nice size waves Air Temperature: ok Sea Temperature: ok Weather: sunny & windy Max Speed: Distance Covered: Bloody lovely .... the sun was shining, the wind was steady 18-20 knots, and increased steadily over the 4.5 hour session. Went for the Fanatic Freewave 95 (as it's still my only waveboard) and thought for a nano-second as to rig choice before getting the 5.8m Superfreak rigged and plugged into the Freewave. Suited & barefoot .... over Las Dunas, and go go go ... Waves were nice, just over head high in some sets, but with some waist high launch ramps closer in to go large off. Got some cracking backside rides, and was really loosening the Freewave up to shread the waves. Had an absolute ball, and it's days like this that make you realise just how much you f**king love this sport ! Superb .... |
